Les Tags UTM sont une technique pour suivre la provenance et identifier les visiteurs sur vos différentes opérations marketing. Ils sont ajoutés au bout des URL sous forme de code que Google analytics est capable d’identifier pour les analyser.
Il existe 5 paramètres pour les configurer.
“utm_source” Afin d’identifier un moteur de recherche, une newsletter ou une autre source. Cela correspond à la source du trafic. (Exemple Google/Facebook)“utm_medium”Pour identifier un support tel que le courrier électronique ou le coût par clic. (CPC, CPA…)“utm_campaign”Utilisé pour l’analyse de mots-clés et pour identifier une promotion de produit spécifique ou une campagne stratégique.“utm_term”Utilisé pour les annonceurs sur le search afin de noter les mots-clés de cette annonce.“utm_content”Utilisé pour les tests A/B et les annonces ciblées par contenu permettent de différencier les annonces ou les liens pointant vers la même URL.
Une même URL peut combiner plusieurs codes. .Les liens avec UTM sont construits avec deux composants :
